PHOENIX -- Police have released the name of a 19-year-old man who died after two groups of people fought in the middle of a northwest Phoenix street.

Phoenix police say Edgar Box was pronounced dead at a Phoenix hospital on Wednesday.

They also say Box may have died as a result of a medical condition and not from injuries sustained in the fight.

Witnesses had told police that Box was jumped and beaten by the other group and collapsed when the fight was over.

An autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause of death.

Police say the fighting early Wednesday was between people attending a party in a condominium unit and people who were in an apartment across the street.
