TUCSON, Ariz. — Investigators are searching for a motorcyclist who walked away from high-speed crash on Interstate 10 near Tucson.

The Arizona Daily Star reports the Arizona Department of Public Safety is trying to find 43-year-old Antonio Edward Sutherland to make sure he received proper medical care.

DPS spokesman Raul Molina says Sutherland, a resident of Chandler, rear-ended a sedan Wednesday night on I-10 between the Marana Road and Tangerine Road exits.

The crash left his motorcycle destroyed.

Molina says a witness two miles from the crash site allowed Sutherland to use a cellphone about an hour after the incident. The witness says Sutherland was on foot.

Witnesses say Sutherland was weaving in and out of traffic and traveling above the 75 mph speed limit.
