FLORENCE, Ariz. -- The Pinal County Sheriff's Office has released some 911 recordings in the case of a Casa Grande man who was stabbed multiple times by his ex-wife.

Adam Villa was trying to pick up his children on Christmas Day in accordance with the couple's custody agreement.

He called 911 as he was driving himself to a hospital.

Connie Villa also is accused of killing a daughter and trying to poison her three other children.

The Casa Grande mother has pleaded not guilty in the case and remains jailed without bond.

She's charged with one count of first-degree murder in the death of her 13-year-old daughter and four counts of attempted murder of her three younger children and of her ex-husband.

Adam Villa survived the attack, as did three of the children.
