SUN CITY, Ariz. -- Authorities say a 97-year-old man is hospitalized in critical condition after his golf cart collided with a vehicle in Sun City.

Maricopa County Sheriff's officials say the man was driving a golf cart when he possibly ran a stop sign Wednesday.

The golf cart then was struck by an SUV near 99th Avenue and Cameo Drive.

Sheriff's officials say the man was wearing his seat belt, but sustained a head wound and other life-threatening injuries.
