Police make arrest in suburban Phoenix ATM theft
GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- An employee with a money delivery company was arrested in connection with a theft from a bank ATM in Goodyear last month.
Goodyear police announced Wednesday that 23-year-old Jesse Doyle Marion was being held on theft charges.
An internal investigator from Loomis Armored told police on Dec. 4 that more than $24,000 in cash was missing from a Chase Bank ATM.
Loomis Armored is contracted to deliver money to and from that bank location and Marion was a Loomis employee at that time.
Police said Marion was identified as an investigative lead in the case and detectives executed a search warrant Monday at his home. They found large sums of cash and newly purchased items.
