PEORIA, Ariz. -- Maricopa County authorities say a Peoria man has been arrested for allegedly sharing child pornography online.

County Sheriff's officials say 40-year-old Stephen J. Austin is being held on $25,000 bond on suspicion of 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

He was arrested at his home Monday and had his initial court appearance Tuesday.

Court records show a sheriff's detective reported finding an internet protocol address linked to a user sharing more than 100 files of child porn over a peer-to-peer network.

After obtaining a subpoena for the suspect's I.P. address, sheriff's investigators executed a search warrant at Austin's home.

They say several hundred child pornography images and videos were discovered on Austin's laptop and on an external hard drive from his bedroom.

Austin doesn't have an attorney yet.
