PRESCOTT, Ariz. -- Authorities say a man who was robbed and shot while jogging in northern Prescott last week remains hospitalized.

Prescott police say 22-year-old Michael Maddux has provided officers with more details of the pre-dawn shooting in a residential neighborhood last Friday.

Maddux says two men robbed him of his handgun, wallet and backpack-style hydration system and one of the robbers shot him in the abdomen.

Police say a handgun was found at the scene, but the gun stolen from Maddux remains missing.

They say Maddux's wallet and backpack were found at different locations last weekend.

Maddux told police that he didn't recognize the two men and police say they're still searching for them.

Maddux is a student at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Police say he should be hospitalized for about another week.
