PHOENIX — Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer will deliver what is likely her final State of the State address on Monday.
She is expected to push an agenda that will establish a spending budget, overhaul the scandal-ridden Child Protective Services, the possible repeal of an election law and the on-going issues of improving both Arizona’s economy and the state’s education system.
These debates and others will rage as Republican Gov. Jan Brewer gets what’s likely to be her final chance to flex gubernatorial muscles. Barring a constitutional amendment extending term limits — which experts consider a longshot — this year will be the end of her tenure in the state’s top office.
