Gov. Brewer's office responds to Arizona abortion ban rejection

After the Supreme Court rejected Arizona's bid to put in place its ban on most abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy Monday, Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer's office released this statement:

Governor Brewer has championed to make Arizona one of the most pro-life states in the nation. Her signature on the Mother's Health and Safety Act -legislation that bans abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy -- is consistent with her proud and proven track record as the most pro-life governor in Arizona history. The Supreme Court's decision to deny cert in this case is wrong, and is a clear infringement on the authority of states to implement critical life-affirming laws. Governor Brewer will continue to fight to protect Arizona women, families and our most vulnerable population -- unborn children.
