SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Scottsdale police said officers fatally shot a man when he pointed a shotgun at them.
Officer David Pubins said the shooting occurred Sunday night after officers went to an apartment complex where the man had fired a shotgun in the air.
According to Pubins, the man had been arguing with a family relative and had fired the shotgun inside the unit where they both lived.
No one else was injured.
Pubins said police expect to release the man's identity Monday.
