Governor names Yuma native to Ariz. Game and Fish
The governor announced the appointment Friday of James R. Ammons.
Brewer says Ammons, a Yuma native, is well-versed in both business and wildlife issues and has a passion for preserving Arizona habitats.
Ammons has overseen the implementation of multiple waterhole development projects with the Arizona Game and Fish Department.
He is also a member of several Arizona wildlife associations.
Ammons has been appointed for a five-year term, which takes effect Jan. 20.
