PHOENIX -- Authorities are searching for two men who identified themselves as law enforcement officers in a west Phoenix home invasion.

Phoenix police say family of four was sleeping when the two suspects broke in through the front door about 4 a.m. Thursday.

They say the two suspects yelled ``police'' and pointed weapons at a man and woman in the home, bound one of the victims and demanded drugs from him.

When the victim said he didn't have any drugs, he was assaulted.

Police say no property was taken and the two men left in an unknown vehicle.

The assault victim was treated at a Phoenix-area hospital. His name wasn't immediately released.

Police say it's unclear if the suspects targeted the home and if anybody in the family knows the suspects.
