PHOENIX -- Four dogs and two cats are alive after being rescued from a Phoenix condo fire.

The Fire Department said firefighters used donated resuscitation equipment on the animals and reunited them with their owner.

The owner wasn't home at the unit at Maryland and 12th streets at the time of the fire late Sunday afternoon.

Cause of the fire is under investigation.
