PHOENIX -- Main Street in downtown Mesa will come alive with the sounds of live music, bikes revving and people having a good time on Friday.

The public is invited to Motorcycles on Main, a monthly event that happens on the first Friday evening of the month.

"Come out, let loose and show off your bike," said Erica Snyder with the Downtown Mesa Association.

The Sturgis-style, kid-friendly event draws a crowd of about 2,500 people every month. The event starts at 6 p.m.

"We like to say it's a family event actually," said Snyder. "It's not like Sturgis. It's just a fun, safe atmosphere for people to come, listen to music and show off their bikes."
