PHOENIX -- A 13-year-old West Valley girl is missing after spending New Year's Day with her biological father.

Na Leisha Cotton was last seen at her Surprise home early Wednesday morning before she and her father, James Cotton, left in a vehicle belonging to her legal guardian, according to Sgt. Bert Anzini of the Surprise Police Department.

Anzini said police were called when Cotton failed to return the girl to her guardian.

The vehicle is described as a dark gray 1997 Chevy Lumina with Arizona license plate WCGRZ46.

Anyone with information on Na Leisha's or Cotton's whereabouts should call Surprise police at 623-222-4000.
