YUMA, Ariz. -- Authorities say a Somerton woman is dead after a fire at a double-wide manufactured home in Yuma.

Witnesses told Yuma County sheriff's deputies they helped get a man to safety about 10:30 a.m. Monday, but heavy smoke and flames kept them from getting the woman to safety.

The body of 68-year-old Rosalinda Ramirez was found by firefighters inside the home later.

Authorities said the man was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center for precautionary reasons. His name hasn't been released yet.

They said the cause of the fire isn't immediately clear and remains under investigation.
