PHOENIX -- A former wrestling coach at a Goodyear high school accused of sexual misconduct with a student has pleaded not guilty.

Maricopa County prosecutors said 25-year-old Kyle Curtis DeBerry entered his plea at his arraignment Monday. His next scheduled court date is Feb. 13.

Goodyear police arrested DeBerry on Dec. 11 on suspicion of luring a minor for sexual exploitation and assault.

He coached at Desert Edge High School until August, when school officials suspended him and reported him to the police.

Authorities have been investigating the allegations against DeBerry for the past several months.
