SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. -- A man convicted in an armed robbery at a home in Sierra Vista has been sentenced to 78 years in prison.

The Sierra Vista Herald reports that 33-year-old Tywan Demetrius Woods had been convicted of armed robbery, aggravated robbery, kidnapping and aggravated assault for the November 2009 incident.

He was sentenced Monday in Cochise County Superior Court.

Prosecutors say Woods was one of several men who went to the home with the intent to buy marijuana, but then assaulted several occupants, including four girls, in an attempt to steal marijuana being stored in a shed on the property.
