Santa Claus paid 12 children an early visit at their south Phoenix Home.

Saint Nick was accompanied not by his elves, but by several helpers who happen to be Phoenix Police Officers.

"I am going to go to church and thank God for all that they've done for my family," said Emmanuel Herrera. "Now, every time the kids see a police officer, they will remember this Christmas," he added.

Angels on Patrol and several police officers heard about the Herrera family's financial difficulties and adopted the family for Christmas. Mr. and Mrs. Herrera are not only caring for their own five small children, but seven grandchildren as well.

"Without their help, the kids would have had a sad Christmas," said Herrera.
