SEDONA, Ariz. -- Authorities in northern Arizona are still searching for a hiker missing since last week near Sedona.

Coconino County Sheriff's officials say 22-year-old Thomas Lang was last seen Wednesday at the Manzanita Campground in Oak Creek Canyon. He was heading toward the Sterling Pass area.

They say he was carrying a red sleeping bag, a white tarp, a guitar and a blue backpack.

Search-and-rescue teams -- comprised of 66 people, one helicopter and one dog -- from the county and Yavapai County sheriff's offices were conducting a joint operation this week in the hopes of locating Lang.

Authorities have received multiple calls about Lang, but none have led to him.

Lang did not have food with him but had a good supply of water. He also has some survival experience.
