PHOENIX -- A Mesa, Ariz. girl was able to escape from a man who allegedly abducted her after he crashed his car, police said.

Robert Curtis Milliron is suspected of abducting the 8-year-old girl Sunday because he was lonely and wanted companionship.

The girl was able to escape after the crash and ran to police.

Milliron was booked on charges of kidnapping, unlawful imprisonment, aggravated assault and hit and run.
