TUCSON, Ariz. -- A man suspected in the fatal shooting of a man in Tucson has been deported from Mexico and is now in the custody of U.S. authorities.
The U.S. Marshals Service says 19-year-old Angel Efrain Cruz was taken into custody Friday by Mexican authorities in the town of Rayon in the state of Sonora and later turned over to American authorities in the southern Arizona city of Nogales.
The federal agency says Cruz was wanted in a July 28 drive-by shooting that led to the death of 32-year-old John Drumm.
Tucson police say Drumm and another man were behind a business when a vehicle drove through the parking lot and someone inside the vehicle fired multiple shots.
An arrest warrant charges Cruz with first-degree murder, drive-by shooting and aggravated assault.
