PHOENIX -- Arizona authorities said a three-day roundup of suspects in robbery, theft and burglary cases netted 151 arrests in several cities. Among those arrested was former Phoenix Suns player Richard Dumas.

According to the U.S. Marshals Service, 27 agencies participated in the roundup.

The arrests this week included 112 in Maricopa and Pinal counties. The others were made in the Tucson, Yuma and Flagstaff areas.

U.S. Marshal David Gonzales said the operation is a response to the November 2012 shooting of a Tucson police sergeant who was responding to a burglary alarm.

Dumas, 44, was arrested Thursday night in Lichtfield Park, on suspicion of eight counts of organized retail theft, totaling just under $800, from the Luke Air Force Base's exchange store. He working with a janitorial service, according to authorities.

Glendale police said Dumas was seen on surveillance cameras in the exchange store in September and October 2012 taking items, including cigarettes, alcohol, food items, DVDs and shoes.

Dumas remained in custody Friday. He played for the Suns from 1992 to 1995 and helped Phoenix reach the NBA Finals in 1993. He was waived by the Suns in 1995.
