GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Police in Glendale are searching for a third suspect in connection with two shootings at an apartment complex earlier this month.
They said an 18-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy are in custody in the Dec. 3 killing of 50-year-old Douglas Elliott, a maintenance worker.
Police said the Peoria man was working at the complex near 67th Avenue and Bethany Home Road when he had a confrontation with three people. That encounter escalated into a shooting. Elliott was pronounced dead at a hospital and two suspects were arrested Dec. 6.
Police said both suspects are being held on first-degree murder charges, and that the three suspects were involved in a separate non-fatal shooting earlier that night at the same complex.
They were fleeing the scene when they were confronted by Elliott.
