GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Glendale police said a tip received by authorities has led to the arrest of a 31-year-old Phoenix man in the October shooting of a convenience store guard.

Police said Monte Henry Alvarez was arrested Monday and has been booked into a Maricopa County jail on charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault.
