Pima County corrections officer arrested
TUCSON, Ariz. -- A corrections officer with the Pima County Sheriff's Department is being accused of inappropriately touching female inmates.
The sheriff's office says Jorge Renteria-Urias was arrested following an investigation of the allegations. He was booked Wednesday into the Pima County jail on nine felony counts of unlawful sexual conduct.
It was not immediately clear if Renteria-Urias had an attorney.
Sheriff's Deputy Tracy Suitt says Renteria-Urias is on unpaid leave pending his termination.
