GLENDALE, Ariz. — A Glendale father is facing child abuse charges after he alleged tried to throw his 8-year-old son out the window.
Police say 32-year-old Brenden Fairbanks is also facing charges of endangerment, resisting arrest and aggravated assault on an officer.
The charges stem from an emergency call officers received Tuesday. The caller said Fairbanks was running around naked at an apartment complex and had a child with him.
When officers arrived, Fairbanks was wearing shorts and inside an apartment with his son. Officers say he grabbed the child and lunged toward a bedroom window, causing it to break.
Officers used a stun gun on Fairbanks because he continued to resist arrest. At one point, he's accused of jabbing a pen into the side of one officer's vest.
