PHOENIX — A man was fatally shot at a Glendale apartment complex Tuesday, police said.
The shooting happened at an apartment complex at 6565 W. Bethany Home Road. When officers responded, they found the 50-year-old victim laying in the parking lot.
“They immediately performed first aid on the male and he was treated by Glendale Fire and transported with life-threatening injuries,” said Tracey Breeden with the Glendale Police Department. “Upon arrival to the hospital, he was declared deceased.”
Police believe the shooting was not random.
“We do believe that this was no random incident and that the suspects and victim may have known each other,” Breeden said.
The suspects, described as being to black males, fled the area in an older model black sedan. One of the suspects may have been injured.
The victim has not been identified.
No other injuries were reported.
