MARICOPA, Ariz. -- An Arizona homeowner who says he was shot and wounded by a man who stole his pickup truck is now in trouble with the law.

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office says 33-year-old Juan Carlos Garcia has been arrested for alleged misconduct involving weapons. Investigators say they will also be pursing property crime charges.

A search warrant for Garcia's home near Maricopa turned up guns, stolen electronics, marijuana, methamphetamine and documents supporting identity theft and money laundering.

Sheriff's spokesman Tim Gaffney says the stolen property that was recovered from the home was valued at more than $10,000. It was traced back to seven home burglaries in Hidden Valley.

Deputies are still trying to determine who the suspect is that shot Garcia last week and what the motive was.
