SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- A Scottsdale fire official said four people with the San Francisco Giants' minor league team were injured in a Tuesday morning crash.

Battalion Chief Rod Thompson said the four were taken to a hospital for injuries suffered when their passenger van collided with a car near a hotel at Chaparral and Scottsdale roads.

Thompson said one person's injuries are considered critical and possibly life-threatening. No other details were immediately available.

Team spokeswoman Staci Slaughter said she's unable to provide any information yet.

The Giants conduct training in Scottsdale for its major league and minor league teams.
