PHOENIX -- A Glendale boy who had been reported missing overnight, was found safe, not far from home.

Police found Gabriel Payan, 12, around lunchtime Monday. He hadn't been seen since 8 p.m. Sunday. After searching their home at home near 61st Avenue and Greenway Road for him, his parents called police three hours later.

The family told police that the boy has a history of hiding from them for hours at a time and that he'd been upset after being disciplined.
