PHOENIX -- A court hearing for an ex-Phoenix lobbyist whose former clients included the Fiesta Bowl has been delayed.

Gary Husk faces conspiracy and illegal campaign contribution charges and had a pretrial hearing set for Monday. It's been reset for Dec. 9.

Husk is accused of using his firm's money to reimburse staff who made campaign contributions to high-profile politicians. He pleaded not guilty and faces a June trial.

Husk'a lawyer Rick Romley said the indictment unsealed on Oct. 10 is an effort by Attorney General Tom Horne to save face after failing to connect Husk to illegal activities at the Fiesta Bowl.

The Fiesta Bowl's former executive director and several lesser former bowl employees have pleaded guilty to charges stemming from bowl investigations.

Husk is a former state and federal prosecutor.
