PHOENIX -- A Maricopa County grand jury reportedly has indicted a former Tempe police detective accused of hindering prosecution.
Phoenix TV station KPHO reports that Jessica Dever-Jakusz has been formally charged with two counts of hindering prosecution and one felony count of prohibited acts by public officers and employees.
Authorities say Dever-Jakusz allegedly had sex with a man who was a target of an undercover drug investigation and told him he was under investigation.
She resigned from the police department last month.
A Tempe police report says Dever-Jakusz worked undercover with other Tempe narcotics detectives in an operation that targeted the sale of illegal drugs in and around downtown restaurants and bars.
The police report says says Dever-Jakusz's revelations to the drug suspect on Oct. 10 scuttled a five-month undercover investigation.
