TUCSON, Ariz. -- A man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his guilty plea to manslaughter in the 2009 death of a 17-year-old from Tucson.
The Arizona Daily Star reports that 26-year-old Anibal Cordova was given the sentence Monday in the death of Alexis Nunez.
Nunez's death arose out a dispute over a car Cordova bought from someone else.
The seller never paid the full amount for the car, and the original owner didn't transfer the title.
When police pulled over Cordova, the car was impounded and the original owner claimed it.
Cordova later went to the owner's house for a confrontation about the car, and Nunez was one of the people at the house that day.
The following day, authorities say Cordova fatally shot Nunez at a bus stop.
