PHOENIX -- A man accused of striking a witness with an SUV during a vehicle burglary in a west Phoenix parking lot has been arrested.

The Arizona Republic reports that the injured witness was taken to a hospital with a broken leg.

Police say two witnesses tried to pull the suspect out of a Chevrolet Tahoe as the suspect was trying to steal the vehicle.

Investigators also then suspect then got into his own SUV, hit one of the witnesses twice and drove away.

The suspect also hit a building with his vehicle.

He was later arrested at a home.

The suspect's identity hasn't yet been released.
