Afni to hire 150 new workers in Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. -- A company that operates three call centers in Tucson has announced plans to hire an additional 150 workers by the end of the year.

Illinois-based Afni will be holding a hiring event Monday in Tucson.

The Arizona Daily Star reports that the company has added 700 workers to its three operations in Tucson over the past five years. It is among the city's major employers with about 2,200 workers.

Afni says it offers competitive pay with paid training.

After training, company officials say employees are eligible for bonuses and benefits that include paid time off, medical and other insurance and retirement savings with a company match and tuition reimbursement.
