TUCSON, Ariz. -- Authorities say a man who was found dead at a Tucson park has been identified.

Tucson police say the body of 50-year-old Michael Bettendorf was discovered Saturday in a grassy area of El Pueblo Park.

They say a passerby found the body with obvious signs of trauma, but police haven't released the manner of death.

Police are investigating the case as a homicide and detectives have canvassed the park for evidence and spoke to area neighbors.

There's no immediate word Monday if police have any suspects in the case yet.
