BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. -- Authorities in northwestern Arizona say they've arrested a Fort Mohave man in connection with a crime spree.

Mohave County Sheriff's officials said 23-year-old Rocky Tairit Perez was taken into custody Friday.

He already was wanted for kidnapping, aggravated assault, robbery and theft in Fort Mohave.

On Friday morning, authorities said Perez allegedly stole a car from a Bullhead City woman and was pursued by police.

Perez abandoned the vehicle with a flat tire in Fort Mohave and was arrested hours later while walking in Mohave Valley.

Police said he had methamphetamine in his possession.

They said Perez is being held on suspicion of aggravated assault, theft of means of transportation, possession of dangerous drugs and drug paraphernalia plus the previous charges.

It was unclear Friday if he has a lawyer.
