TUCSON, Ariz. -- The Arizona Game and Fish Department is offering a reward of up to $1,250 for information leading to an arrest in the fatal shooting of a young deer by a poacher in southern Arizona.
The department said the doe was shot by a man with a rifle at approximately 5 p.m. on Oct. 28 near Madera Canyon Road south of Tucson.
The shooter is described as a white man, 30 to 35 years old, about 5-foot-9 and 165 pounds with short, light brown hair and wearing camouflage.
The shooter was accompanied by a white man in his late 60s or early 70s. That man is described as 5-foot-9, 175 pounds with short salt-and-pepper graying hair.
