PHOENIX — A Valley company is writing a big check to a group that helps the military.
Arizona Public Service is pledging $25,000 to USO Arizona to build new offices at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
APS President Don Brandt says the money will also go to improve a USO area where soldiers can relax in Terminal 4.
“At least when they’re in our backyard, we want them treated well and to have the support to put the services forth to make their visit to Sky Harbor a little nicer,” said Brandt.
The money is part of $100,000 in cash and in-kind support that APS is pledging in support of USO Arizona through 2014.
