FLORENCE, Ariz. -- A Saddlebrooke woman has been convicted of aggravated assault on a police officer for shooting at a Pinal County Sheriff's deputy.
County prosecutors say 65-year-old Pamela Williams also was found guilty by a jury on a marijuana charge.
They say Williams faces up to a 23-year prison term. Her sentencing hearing is scheduled for Dec. 10.
Sheriff's deputies responded to a dispute between Williams and her neighbors on Jan. 4.
When a deputy approached Williams' home, he reported hearing two gunshots from the property before the gun jammed.
Authorities say Williams was arrested and changed her story numerous times about where she fired and why.
They say she used marijuana just prior to firing the shots.
