PHOENIX — Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer will head up a trade delegation to Taiwan on Thursday, for a weeklong wooing of that growing international market.
Brewer’s contingent includes state business and tourism leaders.
“We have been working hard since the recession to make Arizona a first-rate destination to travel, start or grow a business and make a living, and our efforts have paid dividends,” Brewer said in a press release.
According to the Governor’s Office, Taiwan ranked in Arizona’s top 15 import and export trade partners, accounting for $320 million in Arizona exports and at least $530 million in imports.
Phoenix and Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, are Sister Cities.
