PHOENIX -- A Valley couple said their vows Thursday at the Arizona State Fair.

The couple, Rachel Carrillo and Jake Reisinger, were married on the fair's carousel about 3:30 p.m.

"There has always been something so magical about a crowded midway and lit up attractions with fair food scents in the air," Carrillo said before the ceremony. "It just puts stars in my eyes!"

Carrillo's bridesmaids carried bouquets made of carnival treats instead of flowers and the flower girl tossed out popcorn in place of flower petals.

The wedding had a "Water for Elephants" theme, based on the 2011 film.
