Arizona Sen. Michele Reagan enters GOP race for secretary of state
PHOENIX -- State Sen. Michele Reagan has formally announced her candidacy for the Republican nomination for secretary of state.
Reagan made the announcement Tuesday evening. The secretary of state is Arizona's top election officer and also becomes governor if there's a midterm vacancy in that office. Arizona does not have a lieutenant governor.
Incumbent Ken Bennett is barred by term limits from running for re-election.
Rep. Justin Pierce and investor Wil Cardon also are running for the Republican nomination.
