Mesa Police investigating homicide

Mesa Police are investigating a homicide Saturday morning near U.S. 60 Superstition Freeway and South Gilbert Road.
Officers responded to the 2100 block of East Juanita Avenue around 4 a.m. after receiving a call about an altercation.
On arrival, officers found a deceased adult female at the location.
The investigation is ongoing as to who lives at the residence, who was involved and who might still be outstanding, Mesa Police Sgt. Tony Landato said in a statement.
Landato said police have made no arrests, but have no reason to believe there is any danger to the surrounding area.
