FLORENCE, Ariz. -- A former employee in the Pinal County Attorney's Office has been indicted on theft, fraud and forgery charges.

Prosecutors say 44-year-old Somer Fite is facing eight counts including six counts of forgery.

The Prescott woman is accused of stealing cash from the office's diversion program by making or altering six bank money orders totaling $1,370 last year between May and August.

Fite started at the county Attorney's Office in January 2007 and worked in the diversion program until August 2012.

She was arraigned Friday in Pinal County Superior Court. It's unclear if she has an attorney yet.
