TUCSON, Ariz. -- Tucson police say a 74-year-old man has been arrested in the death of a 28-year-old man who was fatally injured while crossing a street at a crosswalk.

Police said Matthew Bono died at the scene Saturday after being struck by a pickup truck while crossing East Speedway Boulevard.

According to police, the pickup did not immediately stop but returned to the scene after witnesses to the accident followed the truck and got the driver's attention.

Police said Edward George was booked into the Pima County Jail after being arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder. It wasn't immediately known whether George has an attorney.
