PHOENIX -- A woman is dead after a fire at a north Phoenix apartment.

Phoenix Fire Department officials said the fire broke out about 2 a.m. Saturday at the Sonoma Vista Apartments near 20th Avenue and Bell Road.

When firefighters extinguished the fire, they found a burnt body in one of the apartments.

Neighbors said they believe an elderly woman lived in the apartment where the body was found.

No other injuries are reported.

Authorities haven't identified the woman yet. Fire investigators have yet to determine the cause of the blaze.
