Shooting in south Phoenix leaves 1 man dead
PHOENIX -- Authorities say a man is dead after a squabble led to a shooting in south Phoenix.
Phoenix police said two men got into an argument about 2:15 p.m. Friday in front of a home near 24th Street and Southern Avenue.
At some point during the argument, the 36-year-old suspect shot the other man and then fled on foot.
The suspect was located by responding officers a short time later, and police said a handgun was found in his possession.
The name of the suspect hasn't been released, and police said they don't immediately know the relationship between the two men.
The man killed was in his early 30s. His name is being withheld until his relatives are notified.
Police said the case remains under investigation.
