PHOENIX -- Phoenix police have arrested three men on charges of murder, armed burglary and kidnapping in a botched home invasion.

According to a local news report, the three men were arrested Monday at two locations in connection with the Oct. 1 killing of 59-year-old Enrique "Henry" Montes.

Police and the family of the victim said police warned the family ahead of time that police had information from a confidential informant that the family was targeted for a home invasion.

Police suggested to the family that they stay somewhere else. However, the family said they didn't take the warning seriously and now they believe police did not do enough to protect them.
